About the Age Difference Calculator

The Age Difference Calculator works out the exact gap between two dates of birth — in years, months, and days — and tells you who is older. It is handy for couples, siblings, friends, or any two people whose age gap you want to know precisely.

How the gap is measured

We take the two dates of birth, find which one is earlier (that person is older), and count the full years, months, and days in between. For example, someone born on 10 January 1992 and someone born on 25 June 1995 have a gap of 3 years, 5 months, and 15 days. The same gap is also shown in total months, weeks, and days.

Leap years and exact counting

Leap years are handled automatically, so the extra day in February is always counted correctly. The result is the true calendar difference, not a rounded estimate.
