भगवान विष्णु की कृपा और व्रत के प्रभाव से कुछ ही समय में रानी शैब्या गर्भवती हुईं और उन्होंने एक अत्यंत तेजस्वी व सुंदर पुत्र को जन्म दिया। यह बालक आगे चलकर दानवीर, धर्मात्मा और प्रतापी राजा बना, जिसने प्रजा का कल्याण किया।

शिक्षा: पौष पुत्रदा एकादशी संतान-सुख और वंश-वृद्धि के लिए श्रद्धा, संयम और भगवान पर विश्वास का मार्ग दिखाती है। सच्चे मन से किया गया यह व्रत सुयोग्य संतान का आशीर्वाद देता है।
