About Stotrams

A stotram is a Sanskrit hymn of praise to a deity — a poem of devotion (bhakti) sung or recited to invoke the deity's presence, grace and protection. From the thousand-name Vishnu Sahasranama and Lalitha Sahasranama to short, beloved ashtakams of eight verses, stotrams are central to daily worship and special occasions.

Each stotram on this page is given in two scripts for your convenience — Devanagari (Sanskrit) and Roman transliteration — so you can read it in whichever you prefer. Open any stotram to switch script, read its meaning and benefits, share the link, or download a PDF. These are traditional, widely published texts presented here for personal and devotional reference.
