This creamy, refreshing yogurt protein smoothie is completely no-cook and naturally packed with clean, Vrat-approved protein to keep your energy steady throughout a fasting day.
By utilizing fasting-friendly ingredients like yogurt, nuts and seeds, you get a clean dose of protein and healthy fats without needing commercial protein powders (which often contain non-Vrat additives or grain-based fillers).
Ingredients
- 1 cup Thick Yogurt (approx. 15–20g of protein)
- 1/2 cup Coconut water (to adjust consistency)
- 1 Ripe Banana (frozen banana slices work best for a thick, creamy texture)
- 2 tbsp Almonds & Walnuts (soaked and peeled for better digestion)
- 1 tbsp Makhana powder (Lotus seeds — dry roasted beforehand, or raw if preferred, then powdered)
- 1 tbsp Peanut Butter
- A pinch of Cardamom powder (elaichi) for flavor
The No-Cook Method
1. Prep the Seeds & Nuts
Ensure your almonds are soaked and their skins are slipped off to keep the smoothie velvety smooth.
2. Load the Blender
In a high-speed blender jar, add the yogurt, coconut water and the sliced banana.
3. Add the Protein Boosters
Toss in the peeled almonds, walnuts, makhana powder, peanut butter and a pinch of cardamom powder.
4. Blend Until Creamy
Blend everything on high speed for about 30 to 45 seconds until the nuts are completely broken down and the smoothie is perfectly creamy and frothy.
