What is Chidra Graha Dosha?

Chidra means "hole" or "defect". The lords of the 3rd, 6th, 8th and 12th houses are the chidra grahas — the planets that can open weak points in the chart. The dosha is read when such a lord sits in the Lagna or afflicts the Lagna lord, drawing the self into the themes of those difficult houses.
