What is Panchak?
The period when the Moon moves through the final stretch of the zodiac - from the second half of Dhanishtha through Shatabhisha, Purva Bhadrapada, Uttara Bhadrapada and Revati, spanning Aquarius and Pisces. It comes round roughly every twenty-seven days and lasts about five days.
What are the five types?
Named by the weekday of birth or of the event: Roga, Raja, Agni, Chor and Mrityu Panchak. Each carries its own traditional caution, with Mrityu treated most seriously. Raja Panchak, by contrast, is regarded as favourable.
Is being born in Panchak a problem?
