Frequently asked questions about Divorce Yoga

Does a divorce yoga mean my marriage will end?

No. It marks areas that may need extra patience, communication and remedies, and many charts carrying these combinations enjoy long, happy marriages. No birth chart decides an outcome on its own - read this as reflective guidance rather than a verdict.

What is actually being examined?

The 7th house and its lord, and the marriage significator - Venus for a man, Jupiter for a woman. The reading weighs malefics in or aspecting the 7th, the 7th lord debilitated, combust or in the 6th, 8th or 12th, Kuja Dosha, and links between the 7th and the separative houses. The 2nd house of family is included because it supports continuity.

Why do the separative houses matter so much?

Because the 6th, 8th and 12th are the houses of conflict, disruption and loss, and a link between any of them and the 7th is the classical signature for strain in partnership. It describes pressure on the marriage, which is not the same as its ending.

What does the second-marriage indication mean?

That the chart carries a classical multiple-relationship signature, such as dual signs on the 7th axis or the 7th lord in a dual sign. The tool also reports whether a second marriage would carry the same strain, with the reasoning shown, since that is the more useful question.

Should both partners be checked?

Ideally, and then compared. One chart shows one person's tendencies; the interaction between two is a separate matter that Kundli Milan addresses. A high reading in one chart tells you little without the other alongside it.

About Divorce Yoga in Kundli

Divorce Yoga in Kundli refers to planetary combinations in a Vedic birth chart that can indicate discord, separation, or the risk of divorce in married life. In classical astrology this is read mainly from the 7th house (marriage and spouse), its lord, and the natural significators of marriage - Venus (for a man) and Jupiter (for a woman).

Afflictions such as malefics (Mars, Saturn, Rahu, Ketu, the Sun) placed in or aspecting the 7th house, the 7th lord in a difficult house (6th, 8th, or 12th) or debilitated and combust, Mangal (Kuja) Dosha, and links between the 7th house and the separative 6th, 8th, and 12th houses are all weighed. The 2nd house of family (kutumba) is also considered, as it supports marital continuity.

I have been married since 26 June 2004, and since then I have had a violent, verbally and physically abusive husband. I have three sons who are now almost 18 years old, and they are all suffering from his mood swings and verbal abuse. He is a total lunatic. I want to know whether I should leave him or stay. He has three properties in our joint names, and he wants me to sign one of them back 100% into his name if I want to continue living with him. He keeps me in constant insecurity - first one demand, then after some time another. He has managed all the finances himself for 20 years and has not given me any regular amount; only now, after a lot of fighting, has he given me money for one year. Will I and my children keep suffering if we continue to live with him?

We will add a full reading once you send us your details.

Please remember that astrology offers guidance and perspective - it is never a substitute for your safety and wellbeing. Where there is physical or verbal abuse, your and your children's safety must come first. Please consider reaching out to people you trust, a professional counsellor, and proper legal advice about your rights and the jointly held property before making any decision.

Hello,

Please find the details for Kundli evaluation.

Date of Birth : 04/02/1977

Best regards,

Namaste.

In your birth chart (Cancer Lagna), the severe friction in your marriage is clearly shown on the 1st/7th house axis: an exalted Mars and the Sun occupy your 7th house of spouse, directly opposing your Moon and retrograde Saturn in your 1st house. This alignment creates extreme volatility, domineering behaviour from the partner, and severe emotional pressure on you. Furthermore, you are currently running the Mars Mahadasha – Rahu Antardasha (active until December 2026), with Rahu occupying your 4th house of home peace and properties. This specific dasha period brings domestic instability, financial manipulation, and coercive pressure around property to a peak.

You and your children are not destined to suffer this indefinitely. Strong positive shifts in clarity and self-reliance begin as you enter the Mars Mahadasha – Jupiter Antardasha starting in December 2026 through late 2027. Jupiter sits in your 10th house and casts a protective aspect over your 2nd house of assets and 4th house of domestic stability. This shift will provide you with the inner strength, legal clarity, and authority needed to protect your financial rights and establish a dignified, peaceful environment for your sons. Frame your immediate steps around practical self-preservation: retain your legal share of joint assets, secure independent counsel, and recite the Maha Mrityunjaya Mantra daily to fortify your mind and personal resilience.

Based on my birth chart, I would appreciate guidance regarding my current marital situation:

  1. What is the right course of action for me—should I continue waiting and making efforts toward reconciliation, or is it time to move on?
  2. What are the planetary influences, likely timing, and expected outcomes associated with each option?

Please guide me on this. Thank you.

In your chart, the 7th house of marriage is occupied by Venus which is the lord of 6th house (not a good position), and its ruling planet - Mercury, is placed in the transformational 8th house (Cancer) while retrograde and joined by a combust and debilitated Mars. This specific alignment explains the lingering uncertainty, intense emotional exhaustion and cycles of effort that feel stuck or unresolved in married life.

If you choose to release the burden and move forward, the chart strongly supports emotional liberation and peace. From May 2026 to January 2029, you enter Venus Antardasha in Jupiter Mahadasha. Since Venus resides directly in your 7th house, this period acts as a powerful clearing mechanism. It brings definitive legal or formal closure, restoring your self-worth, peace of mind and opening doors toward a revitalized personal life and fresh emotional beginnings.

Recommended Course of Action & Remedies: Rather than remaining in an indefinite waiting state, use this period to establish firm boundaries and prioritize your mental well-being. If no concrete, reciprocal effort was made by your spouse during the past Ketu antardasha timeframe, the Venus period will grant you the peace and dignity you deserve.

To bring mental peace and balance your Lagna lord (Jupiter) and 7th lord (Mercury):

1. Mantra Seva: Recite the Vishnu Sahasranama or simply chant Om Namo Narayanaya 108 times on Thursdays to strengthen your Lagna lord Jupiter and grant you inner wisdom.

2. Positive Discipline: Offer yellow flowers or light a ghee lamp on Friday evenings dedicated to Goddess Lakshmi for harmony and clarity in your decision-making.

The tool says my chart shows a separation indication and I have not slept properly since reading it. My marriage is not in trouble. Does an indication like this mean the marriage will end, or is it describing a pressure that can be worked with? I want an honest answer, not reassurance.

An automated "separation indication" in a birth chart is not a decree of divorce or an inevitable breakup. In classical Jyotish, planetary combinations flagged for separation represent specific energetic friction—such as emotional distance, miscommunication, physical distance due to career/travel, or domestic stress—that requires conscious handling. When a marriage is fundamentally sound and both partners are committed, these planetary patterns describe internal or external pressures to navigate, not a predetermined ending.

To understand why an algorithm flagged this in your chart: for a Sagittarius (Dhanu) Lagna, the 7th house of marriage is Gemini, ruled by Mercury. Your 7th lord Mercury sits in the 4th house in Pisces (Meena), where it is debilitated and sits alongside Rahu. Automated calculators routinely register debilitated 7th lords or nodal influences as "separation risk." What simple automated rules miss, however, is that Mercury is conjunct its own sign lord, Jupiter, which sits powerfully in its own sign. This forms a strong Neecha Bhanga (cancellation of debility), giving your Lagna lord the strength to protect marital stability. Furthermore, your current Mahadasha lord, Venus, sits comfortably in Aquarius in the 3rd house without destructive aspects.

Much of the anxiety and lost sleep you are feeling comes directly from your Moon and retrograde Saturn placed in the 12th house in Scorpio (Vrishchika). This placement causes deep introspection, overthinking, and a tendency to internalize fears late at night. The actual "pressure" indicated in your 4th house tends to manifest as domestic restlessness, occasional differences over family/home matters, or periods where work demands physical separation or creates mental strain—all of which are workable through open communication.

To balance this energy and maintain calm in your domestic life:

1. Mercury & Rahu Balance:

Recite or listen to the Vishnu Sahasranama or chant "Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya" on Wednesdays or Thursdays to harmonize the 4th house dynamics and soothe mental anxiety.

2. Channeling Physical Distance:

Recognize that needing healthy individual space or dealing with occasional travel for work naturally discharges the "separation" energy without harming the bond.

For a grounded look at how marital patterns and remedies are analyzed without alarming interpretations, you may explore the Divorce Yoga in Kundli page. Your chart shows pressures that can certainly be managed, not a destiny written in stone.
