About the Personal Year Number
The Personal Year Number is one of numerology’s most useful forecasting tools. It places you within a repeating nine-year cycle, each year carrying its own theme, energy, and opportunities — from fresh starts in a Personal Year 1 to completion and release in a Personal Year 9.
How it’s calculated
Add your birth month and birth day to the year you want to read for, then reduce to a single digit. For example, someone born on 23 May reading 2026: month 5 + day 5 (2+3) + year 1 (2+0+2+6 = 10 → 1) = 11 → 2, a Personal Year 2. Your birth year is not used, because the cycle turns with the calendar.
When it changes
The Personal Year runs with the calendar year and turns over each 1 January. Some numerologists blend it gradually around your birthday, but the simplest and most common method — used here — switches it at the start of the year.
How to use your forecast
Read your year’s theme as a guide to where to put your energy. A Personal Year 1 favours new beginnings; a 4 rewards hard work and structure; a 5 brings change and travel; a 9 is for letting go. Working with the year’s energy, rather than against it, helps things flow more easily.
Numerology is a tradition meant for guidance and self-reflection, not a guarantee of outcomes. For a personalised reading, consult a qualified numerologist.
