Biorhythm Calculator - Physical, Emotional, Intellectual
Frequently asked questions about Biorhythm
How are biorhythm cycles calculated?
From the number of whole days between your date of birth and the chart date. Each cycle is a sine wave: value = sin(2π × days / period). The classic periods are 23 days (physical), 28 days (emotional) and 33 days (intellectual). Birth time and place are not used. The result sits between -100% and +100%.
What is a critical day?
A day when that cycle crosses the zero line, switching from the high half of the wave to the low half or the other way around. Traditional advice is extra care in that area - sport on a physical critical day, sharp words on an emotional one, irreversible decisions on an intellectual one. It is a crossover on a sine wave, not a danger alert and not a medical warning.
Does this come from Vedic astrology?
No. Biorhythm is a twentieth-century cycle theory popularised by Swoboda, Fliess and later writers. It does not use Lagna, grahas, dasha or Panchang. Vedic year-ahead timing is Varshaphala. Numerology's nine-year clock is the Personal Year Number. The natal chart is Kundli Maker.
Can this predict illness or accidents?
No, and it must not be used that way. A low physical wave is not a diagnosis, a critical day is not an accident forecast, and no sine wave can see chromosomes, labs or the road. For any health question see a qualified doctor. Treat the chart as a light planning aid for rest versus effort.
How is this different from the Age Calculator?
The Age - Aayu Calculator counts complete years, months and days. This page takes the same day-count and folds it into repeating 23-, 28- and 33-day waves. One is a civil-age utility; the other is a cycle overlay. Neither is a dasha. Hour-by-hour Vedic timing is the daily Hora.
About the Biorhythm Calculator
Biorhythm theory plots three sine waves from the number of whole days since birth: a 23-day physical cycle, a 28-day emotional cycle, and a 33-day intellectual cycle. The value on a given day is between -100% and +100%. A peak is high energy in that area; a low is a quieter phase; a critical day is a crossing of the zero line, when that cycle is changing direction.
The idea was popularised in the twentieth century (Swoboda, Fliess and later Teltscher). It is not Jyotish. It does not use Lagna, grahas, dasha or Panchang, and it is not a medical or accident forecast. Use it as a light planning aid - when to push, when to rest - and keep real decisions with skill, circumstance and, for health, a qualified doctor.
Vedic timing of a year is Varshaphala. Numerology's nine-year clock is the Personal Year Number. Calendar age in days is the Age - Aayu Calculator. Hour-by-hour electional timing is the daily Hora. The natal chart is Kundli Maker.
