Education - Chaturvimsamsa (D24) Chart
Frequently asked questions about Education
What is a Chaturvimsamsa chart?
The twenty-fourth divisional chart (D24, Siddhamsha). Each rasi is split into twenty-four parts of 1 degree 15 minutes. Odd signs count from Simha (Leo); even signs count from Karka (Cancer), both forward. The twelve houses are read from the Chaturvimsamsa of the rising sign as house 1. Classical practice uses it for education and vidya: the 5th for intelligence, the 4th for schooling, the 9th for higher learning.
Does a weak D24 mean I will fail exams?
No. A planet that looks strong in the birth chart but falls to a weak Chaturvimsamsa tends to deliver less for learning than it appears to; the reverse also holds. That is a modifier, not a mark sheet. Dasha, the natal 5th lord and your own preparation still matter. Treat a difficult D24 as a reason to look more closely, not as a verdict that you will fail.
How is this different from Child Education, Education Stream or Competitive Exam Success?
Child Education Future reads a child's schooling flavour from D1. Education Stream suggests a subject direction. Competitive Exam Success is a timed exam reading. This page draws the D24 chart itself. None of those pages is a prediction of marks.
How is this different from Kundli Maker or Navamsha?
Same D24 mathematics and the same D24 lagna as house 1. Kundli Maker is the full natal file - D1, every varga, dasha and strength tables. This page is only the Chaturvimsamsa. Faith & Devotion - Vimshamsha (D20) is upasana and worship. Marriage - Navamsha (D9) is dharma and marriage. Vimsopaka Bala includes D24 as one weighted varga of 0.5 in Shodasavarga.
Is the 5th from D24 my intelligence?
It is the classical house of vidya in this chart - intelligence, memory and poorvapunya of learning - not an IQ score and not an exam result. Read it with Mercury and Jupiter, and with the natal 5th lord placed in D24. Same sign in D1 and D24 is an echo, not vargottama - that test is D1 = D9 on the Vargottama Planet Finder.
Why does the birth time matter so much?
Each Chaturvimsamsa is only 1 degree 15 minutes of the rasi chart, so a few minutes of clock time can move Lagna or a graha into the next D24 sign and redraw every house. Pick the city from the dropdown and use the recorded time. If the time is rounded, treat the chart as provisional.
About Education - Chaturvimsamsa (D24) Chart
Chaturvimsamsa (D24, Siddhamsha) divides each rasi into twenty-four parts of 1 degree 15 minutes. Odd signs count those amsas from Simha (Leo); even signs count from Karka (Cancer), both forward, the same as Kundli Maker. The chart is read from the Chaturvimsamsa of the rising sign as house 1. Classical practice uses it as the chart of education and siddhi: the 5th from this D24 lagna for intelligence and poorvapunya of vidya, the 4th for formal schooling, the 9th for higher learning and guru, with Mercury and Jupiter as vidya karakas. A planet that looks strong in the birth chart but falls in a weak Chaturvimsamsa tends to deliver less for learning than it appears to, and the reverse also holds. This page draws the chart. It is not a prediction of exam marks.
This page is that Parashari D24: North and South Indian drawings, a D1-to-D24 table with amsa and BPHS siddhamsha deity (Skanda through Bhima, cycling twice, reversed in even signs), the natal 5th lord in D24, and Mercury and Jupiter as vidya karakas. It is the same Siddhamsha as the D24 dropdown on Kundli Maker, focused here as its own calculator. It is not Child Education Future (a child's schooling flavour), not Education Stream (subject choice), not Competitive Exam Success (a timed exam reading), not the Faith & Devotion - Vimshamsha (D20) Chart (upasana and worship), not the Marriage - Navamsha (D9) Chart (dharma and marriage), and not Vimsopaka Bala (D24 as one weighted varga of 0.5 in Shodasavarga).
Enter the exact birth time and pick the city from the dropdown. Each chaturvimsamsa is only 1 degree 15 minutes, so a few minutes of clock time can move Lagna or a graha into the next part and redraw the houses. Results are free to share or save as a PDF.
