What does electional astrology actually score?
The day and the hour, separately. The day comes from tithi, vara, nakshatra, yoga and karana, then from your Tara Bala and Chandra Bala. The hour comes from the rising Lagna counted from your birth Lagna (sunrise to midnight on the date you pick), plus the overlapping Hora and Choghadiya, with Rahu Kalam, Yamaganda and Gulika clipped. A purpose tilts which limbs and Lagnas are preferred.
Does a high score mean the work will succeed?
No. It means the sky at that start is classically supportive for that kind of act. Outcome still depends on the natal chart, the work itself and ordinary effort. A weak score is a reason to pick another hour or another day, not a verdict that the work can never be done.
How is this different from Lagna based Muhurat or Daily Hora?
Lagna based Muhurat ranks only the rising-sign windows from your birth Lagna. Daily Hora is the planetary-hour clock, and Choghadiya is the eight-window clock. This page is the composite: limbs plus natal Moon strength plus those hour systems on one score.
How is this different from the Muhurats date lists?
The Muhurats pages publish calendar dates for named ceremonies from tithi and nakshatra rules. They do not use your chart. This calculator takes a date you already have and scores that day and its hours for you. Use a date list to shortlist a wedding or griha pravesh, then this page for the hour.
Why do I need my exact birth time?
Because Tara Bala needs your birth nakshatra, Chandra Bala needs your Moon sign, and the window ranking needs your natal Lagna. A guessed time can move the Lagna and, near a Moon-star boundary, the Tara as well. Place of Event is filled from your location so the Panchang and rising signs are for the city where the work happens; type another city if that is wrong.
Can I use this for a wedding or a medical start?
Use it as a first filter, then confirm. A wedding still needs the couple's charts, Guna Milan and a family priest. A medical start is a doctor's decision; this page only tilts toward dual Lagnas and notes that Rikta tithi is sometimes used for treatment. It is not a ceremony booking and not medical advice.
