What makes a Raja Yoga?

A connection between the lord of a Kendra - the angular houses 1, 4, 7 and 10, the pillars of the chart - and the lord of a Trikona, the trines 1, 5 and 9, the houses of fortune and dharma. Power joined to grace is the classical formula.

How can the two lords connect?

Three ways: conjunction in the same sign, mutual aspect where each casts graha drishti on the other, or a Parivartana sign exchange where each occupies the other's sign. All three count, with the exchange often read as the most durable.

What is a yogakaraka?

A combination that only fires in early childhood or after age 85 is treated as not delivering in working life, so it is left off the list.
