What is Grahan Dosha?

Grahan Dosha ("eclipse affliction") forms when a luminary is conjunct a node. When the Sun joins Rahu or Ketu it is Surya Grahan dosha; when the Moon joins a node it is Chandra Grahan dosha. The luminary's natural significations (confidence, vitality for the Sun; mind, emotions for the Moon) are said to be clouded, easing with remedies and maturity.
